Garvan has most recently served as Director of Strategy, Digital & Innovation at Bank of Ireland with responsibility for setting and delivering the strategic roadmap for the Retail Ireland division together with leading the broader banks strategy across the Digital and Innovation agendas. Day to day he focused on strategic planning and execution, digital culture and capabilities, innovative proposition development and process re-engineering.

Through ONEzero1 he has set out to support business leaders and their organisations develop and execute commercial, customer and cultural strategies by combining 14 years of executive experience across strategy and execution, transformation, digital enablement and innovation with 12 years of delivery in customer, sales and service management to bring fresh perspectives, ambitious thinking and change management to evolving market and organisational challenges.

Garvan is a strong learning advocate having spent over 10 years as a Council member of the Institute of Banking and completing numerous educational opportunities including executive programmes at IMI, IMD, Harvard Business School and Singularity University.
