In this programme taster, Dr. Allan Kearns will discuss culture and behaviours, and their relevance in a financial services context. With respect to culture, we will explore different definitions and apply a model to help us better frame our discussions on this abstract topic. Further, we can identify a number of different indicators of culture which is the beginning of a roadmap to enhancing an organisation’s culture to be more effective. With respect to behaviours, we understand their importance in terms of culture. Under the broad umbrella of behaviours, we focus on three related topics: group dynamics, diversity and behavioural economics.

This webinar will give attendees the opportunity to sample a typical lecture on our Culture programmes.

Raising standards in Financial Services is at the heart of what we do and our UCD Accredited Culture Programmes are designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to lead and embed effective consumer culture in their organisations.

Developed in consultation with international leading academic and industry experts, adopting these programmes demonstrates an investment by organisations in the competence of their staff in the areas of culture, conduct risk, consumer protection risk assessment, ethics and expected behaviours.

The Institute of Banking is the education partner to the Irish Banking Culture Board (IBCB).

The following are our Culture programmes:

Professional Certificate in Consumer Protection Risk, Culture and Ethical Behaviour in Financial Services (Level 7)

Professional Diploma in Leading Cultural Change and Ethical Behaviour in Financial Services (Level 9)

Places for the webinar are limited and the registration for the webinar will close at 10am on the day of the event or earlier if we reach full capacity.
