This programme taster session for the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning will focus on the importance of numeracy in Financial Planning.

Paul Grimes, through the use of real-life examples, will examine the importance and limitations of numeracy in personal financial planning.

The Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, awarded by University College Dublin (UCD), is a highly regarded postgraduate qualification (level 9), designed for those working in, or who would like to develop a career in, financial planning and wealth management. It is designed for those who wish to develop their financial planning knowledge and skills to the highest international standards.

The programme is specifically designed to provide financial planners with the knowledge and understanding of the applicable regulatory requirements, the mechanisms and purpose of the main investment products and the ability to satisfy their individual clients’ financial planning and investment portfolio needs.

Please note that this session was also held on 27 May and members can only claim CPD hours for attending one of the events.


The programme taster session will be held over Zoom. Please ensure you have access to Zoom in advance of the event taking place. Zoom is available on all PCs, laptops, tablets and Apple or Android devices. The link to join the session will be emailed to registered members on the day of the event.

The registration will close once we reach capacity or at 3pm the day before the event.
