Who is this programme for?
The programme will be of interest to all those working in a compliance or a risk function in the financial services sector. The programme is designed to meet the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of all those holding Compliance Institute designations and to IOB members holding specified designations.
Compliance Institute, in collaboration with IOB, is delighted to introduce a suite of new short programmes in Compliance. The programme consists of webinars originally delivered as live events for Compliance Institute members as part of Compliance Institute CPD programme.
The short programmes are available on demand and can be taken individually. Each programme is designed to cover a specific issue in compliance and be allocated individual CPD hours. The short programmes will cover a broad range of compliance topics.

The purpose of the event is to give an overview of our global sustainable development challenges and the significant role that the financial services sector can play in solving these challenges, concluding with an overview of recent developments in EU policy on sustainable finance.

This is because, as we all know, nothing will happen without money… and the investment required for our global sustainable infrastructure and innovation needs are huge. Sustainable finance is a key focus of EU policy and the EU is proposing legislative and regulatory changes that will be of relevance for compliance officers across the financial services sector. This seminar will be an opportunity to get an overview of those proposals but also to get an understanding of the real-world challenges that have resulted in the need for those proposals.
The programme will cover the following topics:
An overview of global sustainable development challenges, and how the world has come together to address these challenges
An understanding of the role of finance in achieving those goals, i.e. the increasing focus on the concept of Sustainable Finance
An overview of the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan and the current status of implementation
This programme is based on an event previously offered by Compliance Institute on 16 December 2020 and was delivered by industry experts and practitioners.
Each programme has been designed to provide participants with an excellent understanding of a topical area of compliance relevant to the financial services industry. It will provide participants with immediate practical knowledge for a role working in or supporting Compliance and control functions in the three lines of defence. On completion of this programme, participants will be knowledgeable on:

The role of finance in achieving those goals, i.e. the increasing focus on the concept of Sustainable Finance
The EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan and the current status of implementation

When you successfully complete this programme and the related multiple choice test you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from IOB.
This programme is available on demand and comprises of a one-hour webinar. Participants who wish to attain CPD must complete the multiple-choice question after viewing the webinar.
Individual Programme fee: €25
At the end of each programme there is an online test consisting of multiple-choice questions. On completion of the programme and successful completion of the multiple-choice test, continuing professional development, CPD, hours will be awarded for the stated designations.
