The world has faced a series of challenges over the past three years: a pandemic, war in Ukraine, and (most recently) a bout of financial instability. Considering the circumstances, outcomes haven’t been altogether poor. But risks to the outlook are numerous. What will it take to settle the banking system? Is inflation on the way back to 2%? And can these outcomes be achieved without initiating a recession? The answers to these, and other questions, will be discussed.
