In-person networking event for Alumni of the Professional Certifcate in Designated Persons programme.
The event will provide you with an opportunity to meet with your classmates and lecturers from the programme. A regulatory update will be provided by James O’Sullivan from the Central Bank of Ireland. Muiris O’Dwyer will provide a presentation on ESG related reporting by investment funds.

James O’Sullivan is Head of Fund & Firm Authorisations in the Funds Supervision Division at the Central Bank of Ireland. He is responsible for the authorisation of investment funds and fund service providers. Prior to this, James was Head of Funds Policy which included oversight of the domestic regulatory framework for funds in Ireland. James has represented the Central Bank at a range of European and International fora. He currently represents the authority at the IOSCO’s Investment Management Committee (C5). Before joining the Central Bank, James worked for a multinational investment bank and is a graduate of University College Dublin.
Muiris is the Chief Revenue Officer for Mercer Analytics, Research and Tools (ART) part of Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan. ART provide products which support asset owners and asset managers globally. Muiris has worked in financial services for over 25 years.
Previously Muiris Co-Founded TopRiver Partners, an Independent Non-Executive Directors' and Consulting office concentrating on ESG. A key focus was using technology in partnership with the regtech to facilitate ESG Reporting.
Prior to that Muiris was with Wells Fargo Bank International in Ireland (WFBI) for 7 years. Muiris was approved by the Central Bank of Ireland as Interim CEO (PCF8) while also holding the role of Chief Operating Officer (PCF42) and the COO of a Wells Fargo joint venture Avolon Capital Partners located in Ireland.
Directly prior to that Muiris was Head of Origination for Royal Bank of Scotland Finance (Ireland) (RBSFI) , a structured lending vehicle for 7 years. Muiris worked in structured financial services in London after working with the Ulster Bank structured finance team.
