Mairead is the EU Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union. She has been a member of the European Parliament since 2004 and became the First Vice-President of the European Parliament in 2017.
Prior to entering politics, she was a journalist, broadcaster and commentator. She holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
Specialist in securities markets, with 20 years’ experience as COO/CFO of the Irish Stock Exchange Plc, as well as non-executive/Chair roles in a number of investment management, market infrastructure and other entities.
A fellow of CAI and of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Melíosa has extensive experience in Financial Services with Northern Trust and previously as European Head of Transfer Agency Operations for Pioneer Global Investments.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and the Institute of Taxation in Ireland
Pedro is passionate about creating more human, purpose led and customer-centric workplaces where HR plays a vital role in embedding a culture, values, talent practices, and organisational models, processes and systems to ensure authentic ‘customer delight.
Garvan, through his advisory practice ONEZERO1, works with business leaders to develop and execute ambitious transformations with particular focus on commercial, customer and cultural strategies. He combines 18 years of executive experience across strategy and execution, transformation leadership, and deep domain experience in customer, digital and innovation with a proven track record of 10 years in customer, sales and service management Bringing fresh perspectives, ambitious thinking and transformational change management to dynamic market and organisational challenges to unlock opportunities and execution Garvan is a learning advocate having spent over 10 years as a Council member of the IOB and completing numerous educational opportunities including executive programmes at IMI, IMD, Harvard Business School, Oxford Said Business School, MIT and Singularity University.
Paul is the President of Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Chair of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies. Paul is a Director in Osbourne King where he leads the advisory and consultancy service.
Eimear specialises in the design and delivery of world class, professionally relevant, career defining digital and innovation education and training programmes. She is the Director of Digital and Innovation in IOB, working with industry to understand current and future skills needs and developing exciting education propositions that enable individuals and organisations to truly achieve their ambitions.
Mary joined IOB in April 2018 from the Central Bank of Ireland where she was Director of Securities and Markets Supervision. She was previously Ireland's representative at the World Bank and prior to that held the role of Alternate Executive Director representing Ireland with the International Monetary Fund. Mary previously held several director roles with the Central Bank of Ireland, including Director of Financial Operations, Consumer Director and Acting Chief Executive of the Financial Regulator.
