There has traditionally been a perception that integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into investment processes and decision-making means sacrificing financial returns. However the evidence points to the contrary. A Deutsche Asset Management 2015 meta-study reviewed 2,200 academic studies examining the link between corporate performance on ESG issues and corporate financial performance and found “clear evidence for the business case for ESG investing”. In line with this, the growth in ESG or Responsible Investing over the past 10 years has been exponential. Drivers have included the increasing evidence of financial materiality noted above, client demands and pressure from policymakers and regulators. This webinar will provide an overview of the key principles of ESG Investing, discuss real-life case studies to illustrate the materiality of ESG issues in business, consider the diverse range of ESG investing approaches and explore each of the key drivers, with a focus on EU policy and regulatory action relevant to the investment sector that is coming down the track.

The registration for the webinar will close at 2pm on the day of the event or earlier if we reach full capacity.
