This online event is focused on the practical applications of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) with actionable insights and practical knowledge.

We will be joined by a panel of experts - Fiona McMahon, Donald Tse, Danny Lawlor, Moira Cronin and Eoin Motherway - who will discuss best practice in relation to DORA and their views ahead of the implementation date.

Moira is a Digital Risk Partner in PwC Ireland leading out on our DORA offering and is a key member of our European wide DORA leadership team. Moira is a Chartered Accountant and has 20 years experience in working in Digital Risk across many sectors with specific focus on FS in the last number of years. Moira is currently supporting a number of clients in the FS sector to support them in the preparation for DORA using our technology enabled solutions to accelerate DORA compliance.

Fiona McMahon

UBIDAC DIRECTOR OF RISK

Fiona McMahon was appointed Director of Compliance of UBIDAC in April 2018 and is currently the UBIDAC Director of Risk. Prior to taking up the position in UBIDAC, Fiona was appointed Head of Banking Supervision in the Central Bank in March 2017.

Having worked in the Central Bank for over 16 years, Fiona held a number of positions where she led a variety of Supervisory teams across Life Assurance, International Banking, Consumer Protection and Inspections. Fiona has regulatory and compliance knowledge and experience across the SSM framework and was the Central Bank Alternate Member of the SSM Supervisory Board in Frankfurt. She was also a member of the EBA Standing Committee on Oversight and Practices.

Previously, Fiona qualified as a Chartered Accountant whilst at PwC. Fiona was appointed as a NED on the Board of NatWest Bank Europe GmbH in 2020. Her interests include travel, hiking and music.

Donald Tse

HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY AND RESILIENCE RISK TEAM AT STRIPE

As a chartered accountant and cyber professional, Donald works to ensure digital resilience is built into innovation. He is passionate about increasing digital trust to support the sustainable growth of the internet economy.

Prior to Stripe, Donald held technology risk leadership roles at investment and retail banks. He was also one the founding members of Mox Bank, a venture by Standard Chartered, to build the first virtual bank.

Eoin Motherway

Post qualification as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, Eoin spent six years working for the main Broker/Dealer entity of Goldman Sachs in London, holding the positions of Senior Accounting Officer and European Funding Controller.

The second season of his career was twelve years running Investment Fund Valuations in Ireland, Luxembourg and the UK for State Street and BNY Mellon. This included Mutual Funds, Alternatives & ETFs. His more recent season, was to successfully co-found a digital platform called - The Asset Management Exchange (AMX). He led the Irish team building its products, Funds and Management Company to $60Bn in AUM, acting as its CEO and Executive Director.

In addition to being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, he holds certifications in FinTech and is a Certified Investment Funds Director. He was Chair of the Financial Services Forum, a Council Member of Irish Funds and continues to serve as a member of the Funds Advisory Board to the Institute of Bankers.

Today, he is an Independent Chair and INED to Funds, Management Companies, Fin/RegTechs, eMoney Institutions & Virtual Asset Service Providers. He is an ardent advocate for Industry Regionalisation and known champion for diversity, equity & inclusion, notably in neurodiversity and the field of autism.

Daniel Lawlor

Founder at Aquest Advisory

Daniel Lawlor is Founder at Aquest Advisory, a boutique firm that provides training, advisory and preparatory services to the Irish financial service industry. His engagements include ByrneWallace LLP and Haven Green Investment Management. Prior to establishing Aquest Advisory, Daniel was the Head of the Central Bank of Ireland’s Funds Policy Team. He was involved in designing and drafting investment industry regulatory initiatives in Ireland from 2010 to 2017. This work included being the Central Bank’s project lead on CP86 – Fund Management Company Effectiveness. Daniel has also experience of the broader international investment industry having represented the Central Bank of Ireland at IOSCO and ESMA committees. He was a member of the FSB’s team for the peer review of Brazil in 2016. Before that, Daniel worked as an investment funds lawyer for 9 years at William Fry LLP.
