IOB is looking forward to welcoming Jim Connolly to speak at this informative Pensions webinar to coincide with Global Money Week 2024.

Jim will be returning to basics when it comes to Pensions and Retirement Planning. He will outline the importance of an individual's emergency fund and how it relates to an overall retirement and savings strategy but will also speak about the importance of future retirement planning and how best to prepare for this.

He will be considering the long-term savings aspect of pension plans, reviewing the various tax reliefs available and also looking at what needs to be considered when quantifying an individual's retirement plan need. This informative webinar will provide some good and practical insights on these topics and demonstrate the benefits of planning for the future.

Jim Connolly is Head of Pensions Technical with Goodbody and is also Module Coordinator for the Retirement Planning module on the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning with IOB.

Jim has held many senior roles in the industry and is widely regarded as one of Ireland's leading pension consultants. He has a reputation for challenging the norm and is regularly featured in the media on pension related issues.
