This in-person event is aimed at independent non-executive directors of financial institutions.
Dr. Paul Fisher OBE will lead a discussion around how boards should think about the sustainability agenda - its impact on their company, how they should oversee the positive and negative risks and respond to the interests of regulators and other stakeholders.
The aim of this event is to provide non-executive directors with a clear, pragmatic framework for understanding their role in relation to sustainability.
Dr. Fisher will explore both the risks and opportunities it presents for banks and investors.
This event is designed to move beyond awareness, offering practical perspectives to help decision-makers integrate sustainability into strategic thinking and risk management oversight.

Paul is an economist who worked for the Bank of England for 26 years, holding senior positions including Executive Director for Markets and Deputy Head of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
He was a member of the Monetary Policy Committee, the interim Financial Policy Committee and the PRA Board. Paul is currently teaching Climate Risks at the European University Institute in Florence and is a Fellow of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
