Join IOB and Alessandra Sala, Senior Director of AI and Data Science at Shutterstock, for this engaging conversation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on society and women.

The rapid advancement of AI has undoubtedly revolutionized various aspects of society, fostering a new era of technological progress and innovation. However, it is crucial to examine the multifaceted impacts of AI on different segments of society, particularly focusing on its implications for women and minorities. This presentation delves into the transformative effects of AI on society and discusses the specific challenges and opportunities it presents for women.

The impact of AI on women extends beyond employment dynamics. AI algorithms, if not carefully designed and implemented, can perpetuate biases, amplifying gender stereotypes and reinforcing inequality.

Education emerges as a pivotal factor in mitigating the adverse effects of AI on women and equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age. By promoting inclusivity and accessibility in STEM education, empowering women to partake in AI development and decision-making processes, and fostering critical thinking and ethical reasoning, education can serve as a catalyst for positive societal transformation.
