Dr Paul Magro is the Founder and Managing Director RiskCap International Ltd (“RiskCap”). Paul has been involved in the financial services industry for over a decade having worked in foreign exchange, invoice finance, payment services as well as the fund industry. During this time he acquired skills in quantitative analysis, financial modelling and risk management.
He established RiskCap in 2013 after completing his PhD in Finance at the University of Bangor. RiskCap, located in Malta and London, provides customized and outsourced governance, risk management and compliance solutions to the financial services industry. RiskCap's clients are of all sizes and come from all segments of the financial services industry and are supervised by regulators around the world. These clients include investment managers and funds, investment firms, banks, payment and e-money institutions and insurance firms.
Paul has been approached and engaged to sit on boards, act as risk manager and compliance officer to, various funds and managers licensed in multiple jurisdictions, mostly within the EU. Paul is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta's Banking and Finance department lecturing on alternative investments and financial modelling.
