Habib is a co-founder and the Chief Investment Officer of V-Square Quantitative Management, a global investment firm headquartered in Chicago. V-Square is at the intersection of quantitative finance and sustainability, creating strategies and managing funds. Habib is a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD) with over 20 years of experience at global financial services companies in Europe and the U.S., managing funds across the entire spectrum of asset classes, strategies, geographies, and investment vehicles (French, Luxembourg, Irish UCITS, US 40 Act funds, and ETFs). Having gained major recognition as an expert in portfolio management of developed and emerging markets, he also possesses a wealth of knowledge of capital markets, their regulatory and operational frameworks.
A dual citizen of the EU and the US, prior to V-Square, Habib successfully led numerous strategic initiatives and held leadership roles in investment, product & business development at large asset management firms, including HSBC and JP Morgan.
Habib holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation, certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He holds a BS in Physics, an MSc in Engineering and Statistics, Applied Mathematics and Economics, and an MSc in Quantitative Finance. Habib regularly lectures at universities and publishes industry thought leadership pieces. He is a member of the Advisory Board of The Journal of Impact & ESG Investing.
