Appointed in 2019 as CEO by Algebris Investments Ireland to lead the establishment and authorisation process of its Super-ManCo for UCITS, AIFs and MiFID permissions to conduct IPM for a number of segregated mandates in its Italy branch. Since authorisation, Phelim is performing the regulated functions of CEO (PCF-8; PCF-1) Head of Investment (PCF-31) and Designated Person for Investment Management (PCF-39D).
Prior to joining Algebris, Phelim had an extensive executive career building out Fidelity’s International Corporate Treasury and Currency Management capabilities globally, gaining diverse experience in Board appointments, Executive and non-Executive (PCF-2) roles across UCITS, AIFM (Qualifying Investor), MiFID II Investment Services, Life Insurance (including Risk & Audit Committee, ORSA), Section 110 SPV.
Phelim holds a Masters Degree in Banking & Finance and qualified as a Certified Investment Fund Director in 2018 (Cohort 12).
