Robert has over 35 years’ experience in professional services. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he has acted in client advisory roles, in CEO / CFO executive roles and in various executive and non-executive director and company secretary roles.

From 2002 to 2009 Robert was CFO of Coyle Hamilton Group, then Ireland’s largest insurance broker. He managed the strategic sale of the business to Willis in 2004 and the post-sale realignment of the business. He acted as Director and Company Secretary of various group companies. He has extensive knowledge and experience of finance, strategy and business reorganisation.

From 2009 to 2015 Robert was CEO of Brandeaux Administrators Limited, a Central Bank of Ireland authorised fund administration firm servicing the Brandeaux property funds. He has extensive knowledge and experience of fund administration, custody, financing, compliance, risk & corporate governance for property funds. He also acted as Director of all Group property holding companies across multiple jurisdictions and was a Central Bank of Ireland approved person in his CEO role.

Since 2015 Robert has acted as a part-time CFO for a Dublin-based family office. He co-ordinates all finances across family office structures (personal / corporate entities / trusts), liaises with fund managers, tax advisers and property managers, provides financial and strategic analysis to the family office and acts as non-executive Director on family office companies.

In 2016 he founded HATCH Student Living, an Irish-based specialist student accommodation company. Robert originates student accommodation developments as Promoter and manages equity raise, debt raise and refinancing. He acts as Director / Company Secretary on all group companies, working on boards with external property investors.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and Diploma in Professional Accounting from University College Dublin (UCD). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in Ireland (FCA) and an independent Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD). He is also authorised by the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA) of Ireland.
