Venetia Bell is a Certified Investment Fund Director with nearly 20 years of experience in central banking and financial services. She is currently Head of Strategy and Governance at GIB Asset Management, an $11bn sustainable asset manager based in London. She is passionate about sustainable investing, and has driven the firm’s work to embed a best-in-class responsible approach, including through launching new investment capabilities. She is responsible for all governance-related matters, including managing the Board of Directors and stakeholder relations. She has published research on a range of topics spanning asset management trends, thematic issues in responsible investing and monetary policy.
Prior to joining GIB Asset Management, Venetia spent 14 years at the Bank of England. Her roles spanned operations and policy, including Deputy to the Chief Operating Officer. Venetia has an MSc from the London School of Economics and an MA from the University of Cambridge. She is a Fellow of the Forward Institute, which focuses on developing a cohort of responsible leaders, an active mentor, and holds several charity trustee roles.
