The event is aimed at those working in the area of retail Consumer Credit. Changes made to consumer credit legislation in the last year will be discussed; which included updates to the Consumer Protection Code, the introduction of the Consumer Protection (Regulation of Retail Credit and Credit Servicing Firms) Act 2022 and the Consumer Rights Act 2022. In this ‘taster event’ for the Professional Certificate in Consumer Credit , Caitriona McCarthy will outline how these changes affects how consumer credit can now be offered and sold to consumers.

Caitriona's current role in IOB is Head of Accreditations and Financial Advice. She has also held the role of Programme Manager for the Professional Diploma / Certificate in Financial Advice. She previously worked in a number of roles in Financial Services where holding the QFA designation has been essential to her career.
