Ciara Dowd

Barrister of Law

Ciara Dowd is a practising barrister with a general civil practice, and specialty in capacity and mental health law. She has published widely on the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and her work has been quoted with approval by the High Court Prior to commencing practice at the Bar, Ciara worked as a legal researcher in the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, the Law Reform Commission, the NGO sector, and in Dublin City University.

Aodhán Deane is a Private Client Tax Specialist within Wealth Management in Goodbody and advises clients on a broad range of tax and financial planning scenarios, from inheritance and succession planning to corporate structuring and business exits. Prior to working at Goodbody, he spent 7 years working with a Big 4 accountancy firm, providing tax advice to high-net-worth individuals and their families. Aodhán is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and a Chartered Accountant (ACA). Aodhán has lectured for STEP Ireland on tax matters.

Aoife is a solicitor and leads the Employment and Immigration law team in KPMG Law LLP. Aoife has over 17 years post qualification experience of providing employment law advice and assistance with a particular emphasis on corporate structuring, terminations and employee engagement matters. Aoife’s practice also involves advising employers on whistle-blowing matters and regularly speaks on the Protected Disclosures legislation and related matters.

Katherine leads KPMG’s Forensic team in Ireland, helping clients and their legal advisors address financial, corruption and compliance related issues. Katherine is a forensic accountant and she leads forensic investigations and targeted forensic accounting reviews to increase transparency, monitor compliance, identify financial crime risks and support dispute resolution. Katherine is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and Certified Fraud Examiner. Katherine studied for a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting and Finance) in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
