Fionnuala is a Director in Deloitte’s Tax Controversy practice and has over 18 years’ experience both in industry and in practice.
Having trained in Ireland, she spent 5 years with Deloitte in Australia before taking up a role within the global tax controversy team of a large multinational technology group. She then returned to professional services with a specialist focus on tax controversy.
Fionnuala supports individuals and business across industry sectors in the proactive assessment and management of tax risk across all tax heads. Her practice largely consists of supporting clients through the life cycle of Irish Revenue Commissioners compliance interventions such as Risk Reviews and Audits – from initial engagement with Revenue through to settlement. She also supports businesses in both the private and public sector build best in practice tax governance, processes and controls as part of the development of a Tax Control Framework. Fionnuala also has experience in cross-border tax dispute prevention and resolution.
Fionnuala holds the AITI qualification as a designated Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) from the Irish Taxation Institute, is a qualified Solicitor in Ireland, England and Wales, holds a B.A. from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Taxation from the University of Sydney.

Sarah is a senior manager in Deloitte’s Private Clients team. She has over 6 years’ experience working in both small and large practices.
Sarah advises high net worth individuals and companies on various tax issues across a range of tax heads specialising in income tax, capital gains tax, corporation tax and capital acquisitions tax.
Sarah is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant. She holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the National College of Ireland and a MSc in Accounting from Dublin City University.
