IOB welcomes Austin Hughes for an economic update for IOB Members. Austin Hughes is one of Ireland’s leading economic commentators. He is a regular contributor on media on economic issues and until recently was KBC Bank Ireland’s Chief Economist. Austin will share his analysis of current Irish and international economic developments, including the global interest rate environment and the post-Budget outlook for activity and inflation in Ireland.

Austin Hughes
Austin Hughes is one of Ireland’s leading economic commentators and a regular contributor to media on economic topics. A longstanding analyst of issues affecting the Irish and European economies, he produces a widely followed consumer sentiment survey and a variety of other economic research. Austin has a wealth of economic experience, working for KBC for over 32 years following stints in the Department of Finance, Central Bank and Bord Failte.
