This event will:
Introduce you to Pieta and the work that they do around suicide and Self-Harm prevention in Ireland.
Cover the myths and facts regarding suicide.
Offer you some practical tips as to how to spot the warning signs and make an initial intervention should they think that a family member/ friend/colleague may be struggling with suicidal thoughts or self-harm, with a view to encouraging that person to seek professional help.
Finish off with some information about maintaining our own health and well-being through self-care and stress management.
The talk is around 40 minutes in duration and Pieta can answer questions afterwards.

The event will be held over Zoom. Please ensure you have access to Zoom in advance of the event taking place. Zoom is available on all PCs, laptops, tablets and Apple or Android devices. The link to join the event will be emailed to registered members on the day of the event.
The registration for the event will close once we reach capacity or at 3pm the day before the event.
There are no CPD hours for this event
Pieta provide free, accessible one-to-one counselling to people suffering from suicidal ideation, engaging in self-harm or to those bereaved by suicide.
