We all negotiate regularly, even though we might not always realize it. Understanding the issues, and having a strategy is essential. What is often overlooked is the role played by emotions and behaviour. This session will introduce practical behavioural skills and tactics to greatly increase our chances of success in any negotiation.

Joseph McGuire

Joseph ran a therapy practice for 30 years, having qualified initially as a Shiatsu practitioner with the Kushi Institute, London, and began his practice in Hamburg, Germany, from 1985 to ’88. Following his return to Ireland and setting up practice there he qualified as a Cranio-Sacral Therapist with the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy (U.K.) in 1996. In 2003 he qualified as a Homoeopath with the Burren School of Homoeopathy.

He has taught the ancient Chinese skill of Face Reading (Mien Shiang) since 1985, initially as a diagnostic tool for healthcare professionals. In recent years he has focused on presenting it as a tool for enhancing communication in the world of business. Having practiced, taught and honed his techniques over a period of more than 35 years Joseph has developed a mastery of observational skills. His work now combines Face Reading with FBI techniques from the worlds of body language, interrogation and negotiation. He has always worked with the understanding that mind, body and spirit are inseparably connected. He is in demand for group training with his 7-stage programme ‘Communicate, Trust and Collaborate’.

In his Profiling Joseph provides clear, detailed and accurate insights into personality, behaviour style, communication patterns, stress triggers and responses and more, of the individuals being profiled. This facilitates his clients in making clear decisions as to the best fit for their organization and culture. He is highly experienced in the role of impartial and unbiased observer, enabling interviewers to focus on asking questions specifically role related.
