In fast-changing workplaces, careers need strategy, clarity, and support. The IOB Belfast Committee is delighted to welcome Aoife O’Brien, founder of Happier at Work, for this engaging online event.

Aoife O'Brien
Founder of Happier at Work
Aoife O’Brien founded Happier at Work in 2019 because she witnessed firsthand the impact of poor workplace culture on both organisations and employees. Using her research-based Happier at Work framework, she partners with business leaders to cultivate human-centred workplace cultures that prioritise wellbeing, career growth, and meaningful impact.
The framework also forms the basis for her upcoming book, Thriving Talent (working title). She supports employees to build their confidence, gain career clarity and reach their full potential, while driving increased engagement and retention in organisations. Her clients are leaders who want to be seen as advocates and architects of thriving workplaces. They hire her to speak, train and deliver corporate programmes. She has worked with organisations like Bank of Ireland, Central Bank of Ireland, Meta, MSD, Ciena, AbbVie, Logitech, and HubSpot.
She has been featured by several national media platforms (Irish Times, Sunday Times, Irish Independent, 2FM, Today FM, Classic FM), public speaking events, and ~100 podcast guest appearances talking about imposter syndrome, career development, fit, employee engagement, productivity, and remote working. Her award-winning podcast, Happier at Work®, has a global audience of nearly 150k. In January 2024 she received the coveted LinkedIn Top Voice badge. She has lived and worked in several different countries and has visited all 7 continents.
