Join us for a programme taster for the new Professional Certificate in Reputational Risk (Level 7)

With the changing nature of the financial services environment, trust remains the bedrock of business performance and retaining the confidence of stakeholders is vital to commercial success. Crucial to good reputation management is firstly, identification of reputational threats and secondly, management of these diverse threats.

This programme seeks to identify the factors that shape a firms reputation, explore the expanding sources of reputational risk within financial services, and equip you with the knowledge to address them at an individual and organisational level.

Dr Emmet Oliver

Dr Emmet Oliver, BA, MA, Dip Corp Guv, PhD, is a lecturer, communications expert, author and broadcaster. Emmet has a PhD from Trinity College (Business School) in the area of economic policy and the evolution of Ireland’s services economy, including banking.

Emmet formerly held the position of Director of Corporate Communications at IDA Ireland, the inward investment agency of the Irish government, managing the reputation of Ireland’s FDI brand. Emmet has also been head of communications at the Irish League of Credit Unions, and lectures in the area of communications and reputation at the Smurift Business School and UCD Quinn Business School.

He also regularly broadcasts on issues related to the macro economy and financial services and is author of Nationbuilding, a book on the evolution of banking (and other services sectors) in Ireland.
