Now is a great time to start or build on your career in compliance. We will hear how the Professional Certificate and Diploma in Compliance can assist you launch or further progress your career in Compliance.

The event will provide an overview of the role of the compliance officer consider where compliance department sits within the organisation. Hear from compliance professionals on their experience and from the Compliance Institute on the LCOI designation offered on successful completion of the programme.

This is a programme taster lecture for Professional Certificate in Compliance and the Professional Diploma in Compliance

The event will be held over Zoom. Please ensure you have access to Zoom in advance of the event taking place. Zoom is available on all PCs, laptops, tablets and Apple or Android devices. The link to join the event will be emailed to registered members on the day of the event.

The registration for the event will close once we reach capacity or at 2pm the day before the event.

Michael Kavanagh

CEO, Compliance Institute

As CEO of the Compliance Institute, Michael is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the organisation as well as managing its overall operations.

Michael is a Board member and Chair of the audit committee of Carmichael, vice chair of the Sport Ireland/FAI Governance Oversight Group, a council member and Chair of the Education Committee of CPA Ireland, a member of the CRSC Consultative Working Group for ESMA, and a member of the Irish committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.

Michael’s previous roles included CEO of IAASA (The Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority), Director of DPP with KPMG Ireland, Technical Director at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, lecturer in DBS, examiner, moderator, solution writer for the professional examinations of various accountancy bodies and the Irish Observer at the then Corporate Reporting Council of the FRC which produced the accounting standards for use in the UK and Ireland.
