Sustainable Energy Upgrades for Commercial Buildings: Financing Made Simple for SMEs.
To accelerate the energy upgrading of commercial buildings, IOB is delighted to host an informative session on what you can do to help SMEs when it comes to finding practical, cost-effective ways to upgrade the energy performance of their buildings.
Sustainability Works has created a guide that seeks to demystify the financial aspects of this sustainability transition for SMEs.
At this event we will be joined by Laura Heuston of Sustainability Works, a leading authority in Ireland on sustainable finance, who will discuss the guide in detail, which has been created as part of the national SEAI-funded ENACT research project.
You will learn about a range of funding options such as low-cost loans, tax relief options, as well as other financing options like asset finance, solar power purchase agreements and lighting as a service.
Learning how to help finance any upfront costs can help how they can help SMEs save money on their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.
This session is especially relevant given rising energy costs, the launch of the SEAI’s new Business Energy Upgrade Grant, and Ireland’s push for economy-wide decarbonisation.
There is 1 CPD hour for the holders of the following designations:
Professional Banker (PB)
Chartered Banker (CB)
Certified Bank Director (CBD)
Certified Sustainable Finance Compliance Professional
