A fun and interactive learning session which offers a comprehensive overview of LGBTQ+ identity. This session asks us all; how can we challenge our unconscious biases to be fully open-minded colleagues?

Topics addressed by this session include;

  • Introduction to ShoutOut and our mission advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion through education

  • A personal story about our own experiences of being LGBTQ+ at work

  • A detailed overview of LGBTQ+ terminology and theory, including gender identity and sexual orientation

  • Practical steps towards inclusion in the workplace

  • Q&A

ShoutOut is a registered charity committed to improving life for LGBTQ+ people by sharing personal stories and educating school students, parents & guardians, teachers, youth workers and workplaces on LGBTQ+ issues.


The event will be held over Zoom. Please ensure you have access to Zoom in advance of the event taking place. Zoom is available on all PCs, laptops, tablets and Apple or Android devices.

The registration for the event will close once we reach capacity or at 4pm the day before the event.

Bella FitzPatrick (she/her)

CEO - ShoutOut

Bella FitzPatrick is the CEO of ShoutOut. Bella brings experience developing and curating educational programmes on LGBTQ+ issues for those who work with young people. Having directly worked with over 57,000 school students, ShoutOut knows what LGBTQ+ young people want the adults in their life to know! Bella has worked in educational NGOs as well as training and advocacy on LGBTQ+ issues within the United Nations.

Aifric Ní Chríodáin (she/her)

Executive Director, ShoutOut

Aifric Ní Chríodáin has been involved with ShoutOut since its foundation, first as a volunteer and graphic designer. Now as Interim Executive Director, Aifric works to lead and grow the charity and to manage and deliver workplace LGBTQ+ inclusion programmes. Prior to her professional involvement with ShoutOut, she spent time working in activism, higher education, and the arts. Outside of ShoutOut, Aifric serves as a Board Director of GAZE International LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
