Join IOB CEO, Mary O’Dea, and IOB President and AIB CEO Colin Hunt for an event on Sustainability.

Colin Hunt will discuss the AIB Journey to Sustainability and what it means for the business. This address will be followed by a panel discussion on ‘Sustainability trends in post recovery landscape’ moderated by Eimear McBride, Director of Digital and Innovation, IOB.

The event will be held over Zoom. Please ensure you have access to Zoom in advance of the event taking place. Zoom is available on all PCs, laptops, tablets and Apple or Android devices. The link to join the event will be emailed to registered members on the day of the event.

The registration for the event will close once we reach capacity or at 3pm the day before the event.

Colin Hunt

CEO AIB

Colin Hunt is President of IOB in 2021/2022. In March 2019, Colin Hunt was appointed Chief Executive Officer of AIB and an Executive Director on the AIB Board.

He joined AIB in August 2016 as Managing Director, Wholesale, Institutional & Corporate Banking Division. Prior to joining AIB, he was Managing Director at Macquarie Capital where he led the development of its business in Ireland.

Previously, he was a Special Policy Adviser at the Departments of Transport and Finance, Research Director and Chief Economist at Goodbody Stockbrokers, Head of Trading Research and Senior Economist at Bank of Ireland Group Treasury and a country risk analyst at NatWest.

He has a PhD in Economics from Trinity College, Dublin and degrees in Commerce & Economics from University College, Cork. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Aer Lingus Group plc from 2008 to 2014.

Chief Executive of IOB

Mary joined IOB in April 2018 from the Central Bank of Ireland where she was Director of Securities and Markets Supervision. She was previously Ireland's representative at the World Bank and prior to that held the role of Alternate Executive Director representing Ireland with the International Monetary Fund. Mary previously held several director roles with the Central Bank of Ireland, including Director of Financial Operations, Consumer Director and Acting Chief Executive of the Financial Regulator.

Eimear is the Director of Digital and Innovation in IOB, working with industry to understand current and future skill needs. She specialises in the design and delivery of world class, professional relevant, Digital, Innovation and Sustainable Finance education and training programmes. She is currently Programme Director for the Professional Diploma in Digital Transformation in Financial Services, Professional Diploma in Data & Analytics in Financial Services, Professional Certificate in Responsible and Sustainable Finance, Professional Certificate in Digital Financial Services & Data Analytics, Graduate Diploma in Digital and Data Strategy in Financial Services, Professional Diploma in Sustainable Finance for Compliance Professionals, Professional Certificate in Customer Experience Management in Financial Services, Professional Diploma in Digital Financial Services Management and Fintech, Professional Diploma in ESG & Sustainable Finance Leadership, Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Transformational Leadership, Professional Diploma in Financial Services ( Prof Banker), Professional Diploma in Banking Operations & Digital.

Chief Sustainability Officer in AIB

Yvonne is the Chief Sustainability Officer and has responsibility for the development and implementation of the Sustainability Strategy across AIB Group for the last 3 years.

Yvonne is an experienced senior leader in financial services with a background in leading business functions covering Data & Analytics, Strategy and Operations.

She is passionate about Sustainability and the role that large corporates should play in leading the transition. Yvonne chairs a number of fora including the Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Council and the Sustainable Finance Skillnet.

Louise O'Mahony

Head of Sustainable Banking at Banking & Payments Federation Ireland

Louise is Head of Sustainable Banking at Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI), driving sector integration of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) factors and facilitating dialogue between BPFI members and policy stakeholders on this dynamic agenda.  

She is responsible for monitoring and responding to the EU Sustainable Finance legislative agenda and for engagement on domestic climate action initiatives, with a particular focus on the mainstreaming of financing for energy efficiency.

She participates in the European Banking Federation’s Sustainable Finance WG, the Dept of Finance’s Public and Private Climate Action Group, the Sustainable Finance Skillnet Committee and is a Director of Safeguarding Ireland.

David is a Consulting Partner with over 20 years of experience delivering business strategy, organisational change and operational efficiency programmes for blue chip clients in Ireland, the UK, and globally.

He is responsible for growing and leading the Transformation and Change team for Sia Partners Ireland, leading our market-facing teams in delivering CFO & Finance Transformation Services, as well as our Financial Services consulting teams.

David has a strong track record in the Irish market in developing new business and managing relationships with existing clients to develop long-term business partnerships, successful client engagements, and delivering year on year success for clients and growth for the organisation.
