On Thursday 16 November, the Central Bank published finalised implementing Regulations and Guidance on the new IAF. The new IAF will affect firms from 29 December 2023. Join us to consider this new development and get insights from Ciaran Walker, Evershed Sutherland LLP, on the implications of this development and what firms need to do now to prepare for the IAF requirements. He will review the changes made to the draft implementing Regulations and Guidance. He will also consider issues such as complying with the conduct standards and what questions independent non-executive directors should be asking to seek assurance of readiness for the IAF.

Ciaran Walker
Consultant, FS Regulation & Governance
Ciaran is a Consultant in Financial Services Regulation & Governance at Eversheds Sutherland LLP. He has significant experience of advising Irish and international firms on a wide range of FS regulatory issues, such as CBI authorisations, corporate governance requirements, AML/CTF requirements, compliance with consumer protection requirements, on-going compliance with the applicable regulatory regime, regulatory investigations, Fitness & Probity. Ciaran also assists firms dealing with CBI investigations under the Administrative Sanctions Procedure regime and assisting firms and individuals with issues that arise under the CBI’s Fitness & Probity regime. He is a leading expert on issues of governance and individual accountability. He co-authored the recent book “New accountability in financial services: Changing individual behaviour and culture”.
