It seems as if Irish people have always had a keen interest in Property, and Irish investors have had mixed experiences in their property investments over the last two decades in particular.
IOB is joined at this event by Alan Casey, Portfolio Manager at Bank of Ireland Investment Markets, to take us through Property as an investment asset class, highlighting some of the different types of property investments available, the different sectors that make up the commercial property market and recent trends.
Alan will outline the advantages of this type of asset class and some areas to watch out for, and while returns from property have been disappointing over the last couple of years, why now may be an opportune time to consider an allocation to property within a multi asset investment portfolio.

Alan Casey is a Portfolio Manager at Bank of Ireland Investment Markets. Alan has worked in the Pensions & Investment industry for over 30 years and is currently responsible for the management of a portfolio of investment strategies, valued at over €1bn, which form part of the iFunds suite of funds, Bank of Ireland and New Ireland Assurance’s multi manager, multi asset fund offering.
Alan is an Associate of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management, a CFP professional, holds a Professional Certificate in Asset Management, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and a MSc in Financial Services from UCD
