Join Emer Kirk, CEO of FPSB Ireland as she explains who are FPSB, FPSB Ireland and what does the CFP designation represent? You will learn also what it means to be part of the CFP community in Ireland. Emer will discuss the introduction of the revised Global Financial Planning Standards in 2023 and their implications. She will also present some highlights from the FPSB research paper (written by Kevin McConnell) on the wealth demographics and future of financial planning in Ireland and discuss what the future looks like for financial planners. Part of this event will also focus on psychology of financial planning and the softer skills that financial planners may need to develop/nurture in themselves.

Registration for this event will close at midnight the night prior to the event or when it reaches capacity.

CEO of the Financial Planning Standards Board

Emer Kirk is CEO of the Financial Planning Standards Board, the body in Ireland responsible for the CFP® professional designation and promoting improved standards in personal financial planning; personal financial planner and lecturer.

Prior to this she was an Associate Director in a Wealth Management firm and specialised in providing personal financial planning to private clients.

She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), an Associate of the Institute of Taxation and a Qualified Financial Adviser.
