About the Professional Certificate in Data Protection
There has been a significant increase in the complexity and volume of the regulation underpinning compliance in the area of data protection. As well as a thorough understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework, professional practice in the area of data protection requires judgements and decisions to be made for many scenarios.
We will hear from the office of the Data Protection Commission on problems areas they are seeing in complying with GDPR. Two issues that will be covered are the filing of inaccurate credit records on the Central Credit Register and failure to do proper data protection requirements when collecting and processing personal data for AML compliance.
