Funds by IOB: A Year in Review (July 2023 – June 2024)

Funds by IOB provide a suite of masterclasses related to funds and asset management, particularly to address the more technical aspects of the managerial functions, as defined by the Central Bank in the context of Fund Management Companies and AIFMs. The aim of each masterclass is to determine and develop best practice standards in the area of focus. The masterclass on Liquidity Risk Management was delivered, once again, in July and Fund Distribution in September. Other areas in planning mode at the moment are ETFs and this will hopefully be rolled out later in the year.

All IOB members, including those holding the Accredited Fund Professionals designation, were invited to a series of events throughout the year, including the recent CPD bootcamps. Others included:

IOB’s annual Future of Finance Awards took place in the Dublin Convention Centre on 23 February 2024 - it was an evening of recognition and celebration in honour of the nominees and winners of these prestigious awards!

For IOB, the process kicks off with a call for nominations across the financial services sector. Every year we seek to ensure contacting people. The Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and leaders who meticulously review all the applications, resulting in a shortlist.

This is one of the highlights of IOB’s year, celebrating the remarkable work of the shortlisted nominees and winners. We look forward to the Future of Finance Awards 2025 so put your thinking caps on and be sure to recommend your colleagues and friends when IOB issues its call for nominees later this year!

Graduation day in UCD is a very special day for IOB and students – a day filled with pride, accomplishment, and achievement.

Witnessing the graduates collect their parchments on stage with their caps and gowns is always such a proud moment for family, friends and of course for all of us at IOB. Well done again to all those who graduated from our funds and asset management programmes.
