The Central Bank’s Consumer Protection Directorate issued three letters to industry in 2020. Two of these resulted from thematic reviews of MiFID related requirements and the other considered regulated firms engaging in unregulated activities.
In this interview, recorded in February 2021, Martina Kelly, Director of Funds in IOB, talks to Gráinne McEvoy, Director of Consumer Protection, Central Bank of Ireland about these letters, including why the reviews had been undertaken and which findings need particular attention.
