Financial Maths is everywhere and understanding the key calculations is critically important to the role of the financial services professional. Join Margaret Darcy, Director Financial Services, Funds and Wealth Planning Education for this interactive session on financial maths. Margaret will identify some of the core calculations that financial services professionals deal with on a day-to-day basis. She will break down the maths and explain the significance of the figures. Using concrete examples, Margaret will unpack key topics such as: APR, the Consumer Price Index, Capital Gains Tax, simple interest and compounding, the time value of money, inflation and interest rates. Join us for what promises to be a very engaging and highly relevant event.

Margaret D’Arcy

Head of Education Financial Services, Funds and Wealth Planning, IOB

Margaret D’Arcy is the Programme Director at IOB for Funds and Wealth Planning. Margaret joined IOB in August 2019 after spending more than twenty years lecturing on both professional and university accounting programmes.

Margaret's career started in retail banking and took her through a variety of roles, including Audit, Project Management and finally Head of Operations Treasury and International.
